In some cases, you may need to update your devices packages for Aladdin.
There are many different types of scenarios, for example, you just received a new scanner, but Aladdin doesn't recognize it.
This is because the package (including product icon, configuration xml file and the firmware) for that scanner doesn't exist in the installation directory.

The video example below shows the Quickscan QD2590 scanner, which displays firmware version 610165421 but for which the package does not exist and we will install it manually.
