🧾 Description
The European Medicines Verification Organisation (EMVO) is a non-profit established in 2015 to secure Europe's pharmaceutical supply chain and prevent falsified medicines from reaching patients. It manages the central European Hub, which allows pharmaceutical manufacturers, wholesalers, and pharmacies to verify the authenticity of prescription medications.
A Keyboard Wedge Test (https://emvo-medicines.eu/scanner/StartPage.html) is necessary for checking that readers are able to transmit correctly the data reading. The readers used are generally Bluetooth with a direct connection such CODiScan HS7600, QuickScan BT2500, Gryphon BT4500, Gryphon BT4600 and PowerScan BT9600.

Go to your Bluetooth Devices to add a new one. When the devices appears in the list just click in the name of the chosen one and the device will be connected and ready as shown below:
After connecting the device please read next direct configuration code to fit the configuration to the EMVO Keyboard Wedge Test of the web page:
Configuration Code: Bluetooth HID Alt Mode = Enable; 2D Normal/Inverse Symbol Control = Both Normal and Inverse
This set of tests will check the configuration of the scanner while running in keyboard wedge mode:
Test 1 will check that the scanner is configured to respect Caps Lock, to read mixed case barcodes and to append a Carriage Return [ ASCII Chr(13) ] suffix
Test 2 will check that the speed the scanner reads at, is not set too high or too slow
Test 3 will check that the scanner can read the GS1 Group Separator [ ASCII Chr(29) ]
Test 4 will check that the scanner can read an inverse barcode
Test 5 will check that ther scanner can read all the special characters allowed by GS1 AI encodable character set 82
