PowerScan 9600 has several optical models which, of course, has different reading performances. Sometimes you don't know what model of optics the reader has. By looking at the aiming system of the PowerScan 9600, it is possible to recognize the optic that the reader has.

🛠️ Resolution Steps

Depending on the reader model, there are different optical models:

 

•    PowerScan Desktop (cable) PD9600:
      SR (Standard Range), HP (High Performance), DC (Data Capture), AR (Auto Range), DPX (Direct Part Marking)
•    PowerScan Mobile (radio 433MHz) PM9600:
      SR (Standard Range), HP (High Performance), AR (Auto Range), DPX (Direct Part Marking)
•    PowerScan Bluetooth PBT9600:
      SR (Standard Range), HP (High Performance), DC (Data Capture), AR (Auto Range), DPX (Direct Part Marking)

The choice of the optical models depends by the customer’s application and labels to read. Suggestions:
•    Standard Range model in applications that are needed to read standard and low-density labels.
•    High Performance model when the max performance is needed.
•    Data Capture for specific document capture applications or wide labels.
•    Direct Part Marking for specific reading of codes engraved, printed, or marked on parts (DPM codes).

PD9600-SR: 4-67.5 cm (1.5-26.5 in)
PD9600-HP: 4-120.2 cm (1.5-47 in)
