🧾 Description
To find if there are errors in a DS device you can enable Diagnostics in Genius to see if there are any error codes in the output.
🛠️ Resolution Steps
Connect to your device via Genius and go to Diagnostics then click the enable check box.
Under Actions we recommend changing Tx mode to With Code. Under format you can add a No Failure Message to be sure you are getting Diagnostic messages.
Now if we read a code of 11123456784343 and got an error message of #97 which is an oscillating mirror issue. The message looks like this in the terminal:
02/05/2023 08:44:31> <STX>11123456784343<CR><STX>#97<CR><LF>
You can find the error codes mean in Genius help menu. Go to FILE> NEW>select your device and package. Then within the parameter explorer in a setting field hit F1 key to open the help menu for your device then search for "Diagnostic Error Conditions".
