This article contains programming / configuration barcodes for your Magellan 9300i, 9400i, 9550i, 9600i, 9800i, 9900i, to work with PC America's Cash Register Express (CRE) point of sale application.
🛠️ Resolution Steps
Note: Magellan scanners typically have cell phone reading disabled so you may have to download and print the appropriate document found at the bottom of this article. There is one document for each interface type. (See Step 2 for more details)
STEP 1 - Scan the following to enter programming mode

There are two interface types supported by the CRE POS application and it depends on whether you are using an RS232 cable (90A052121) or a direct to USB cable (90A052135 or 90A052381)

When using the USB Com Single Cable interface you will also need to have the Datalogic USB Com driver installed.
Note: If you scan the wrong code by mistake you can simply scan the correct one and it will overwrite it.
STEP 3 – Configures the scanners communication settings
You have two choices in this step, which depends on whether you have a Datalogic Remote Scale Display attached to your Magellan or not.
Settings + NO remote display
Settings + YES remote display

STEP 4 – Setting the UPC/EAN Check Digit Transmission
Enable all Check Digits
Disable all Check Digits (Default)
After scanning one of the barcodes in step 4 the scanner will reboot on its own.
Note: If you scan the wrong code in this step you can simple scan Step 1 and then jump to step 4 to scan the correct one.
STEP 5 – Testing your scanner/scale with CRE
Open up your CRE application and make sure your scale hardware type is set to Metrologic MS2020 and that the comport selected matches the port the scanner is using.
If your database is already set up you should be able to start ringing up and weighing items with the Magellan.
