🧾 Description
The Clean Boot process restores the Datalogic Memor X3 to its factory configuration, clearing the working RAM, registry, and file system. This is useful for resolving persistent issues or preparing the device for redeployment.

Boot Types Overview
Warm Boot: Ends unresponsive apps and clears RAM. File system and registry remain intact.
Cold Boot: Closes all apps, clears RAM and non-persistent files. Registry is restored from persistent memory or defaults.
Clean Boot: Performs a cold boot and resets the device to factory defaults. All data, apps, and registry settings are erased.
Clean Boot Instructions
Step 1: Perform a Cold Boot
Press and hold the following keys simultaneously:
- ESC
- ENT
- POWER
Release all keys quickly when the screen goes black.
Step 2: Initiate Clean Boot
Within 1 second, press and hold:
- ESC
- 0
Continue holding until the Clean Boot confirmation screen appears.
Step 3: Confirm Clean Boot
Release the keys.
When prompted:
- Press 1 to proceed with the Clean Boot.
- Press 0 to cancel and perform a Cold Boot instead.
Outcome
The device will:
- Reset to factory configuration
- Erase all applications and data in persistent flash memory
- Prompt for touch screen calibration on next startup
