This article explains how to trigger the DSM04xx by sending ESC command using USB-COM interface
🛠️ Resolution Steps
Install USB-COM drivers first.
Upgrade the Reader with Firmware version V.2.5.0.1 (MAX) - After version 2.5.0.1 it is not necessary to do this. Already included in the firmware.
Connect the reader to Demo Desp App tool:
Type 26900 in "ID Parameter", then click the "Get" button.
Change the default value from "0" to "4".
Then click the "Set" button.
It looks like this:
Then, close the DEMO DESP APP tool and use MicroRidge to trigger the reader.
It is now possible to send the command "E\x0D" to enable the scanner and "D\x0D" to disable it.
