🧾 Description
By default, the Camera app on the Datalogic Memor 1 device may appear in the app drawer but will immediately close when launched. This behavior occurs because the scan engine is not configured to function as a camera. To enable photo-taking capabilities, the “Scanner as Camera” setting must be activated within Developer Options.
🛠️ Resolution Steps
1. Enable Developer Options
- To access the necessary setting, Developer Options must first be enabled:
- Open Settings > System > Device Info.
- Scroll down to Build Number.
- Tap Build Number seven times until you see a message confirming that Developer Options are enabled.
2. Enable Scanner as Camera
- Once Developer Options are available:
- Go to Settings > System > Developer Options.
- Scroll down to find Scanner Camera.
- Tap to toggle it ON.
3. Launch the Camera App
- Return to the App Drawer.
- Open the Camera app.
- The app should now launch successfully and allow you to take pictures using the scan engine.
