This article provides step-by-step instructions for configuring the Datalogic Memor 10 Ethernet Dock for network connectivity and wireless settings. The dock can be connected directly to a PC via crossover cable or to a network via standard Ethernet.
🛠️ Resolution Steps
1. Physical Setup
Connect the Ethernet cable to the dock (either to a network or directly to a PC using a crossover cable).
Connect the power supply to the dock.
🔄 Reset the Dock (if previously used):
Insert a bent paper clip into the reset hole and press gently for 10 seconds to reset the dock.
2. Accessing the Dock Interface
- Direct PC Connection (Crossover Cable)
- Open a browser on the PC.
- Navigate to: http://tplinkiwifi.net
- Network Connection
Determine the dock’s IP address using one of the following methods:
- Check your DHCP server for assigned IPs.
- Use an IP scanner like AngryIP (enable MAC Vendor fetcher to identify TP-LINK devices).
- Use Wireshark to monitor network traffic.
Once the IP is known, open a browser and enter the IP address.

- Username: admin
- Password: admin
3. Load Datalogic Configuration File
- Navigate to:
- System Tools > Backup & Restore
- Load the appropriate config file:
- US Dock: M10EthDockConfigUS.bin
- EU Dock: M10EthDockConfigEU.bin
The dock will reboot automatically after applying the configuration.
4. Security Configuration
- Log in again using admin/admin.
- Go to:
- System Tools > Password
- Set a new username and password, then click Save.
5. Wireless Configuration
2.4GHz Settings
- Go to:
- Wireless 2.4GHz
- Enable the radio.
- Set Wireless Network Name (SSID).
- Ensure SSID broadcast block is unchecked.
- Click Save.
2.4GHz Security
- Go to:
- Wireless Security
- Set:
- Security Mode: WPA/WPA2
- Encryption: WPA2-PSK, AES
Set your Wireless Password, then click Save.
5GHz Settings
- Go to:
- Wireless 5GHz
- Enable the radio.
- Use the same SSID as 2.4GHz.
- Ensure SSID broadcast block is unchecked.
- Click Save.
5GHz Security
- Go to:
- Wireless Security
- Set:
- Security Mode: WPA/WPA2
- Encryption: WPA2-PSK, AES
Use the same Wireless Password as 2.4GHz, then click Save.
6. Save Configuration
- Go to:
- System Tools > Backup & Restore
- Click Backup.
- Choose a directory and filename to save the configuration file.
- Click Save.
7. Deploy Additional Docks
For each new dock:
- Follow steps 1–3 to connect and log in.
- Go to:
- System Tools > Backup & Restore
- Load the previously saved configuration file.
- Click Restore to apply settings.
