🧾 Description
This article explains how to connect an Android 10 device to a hidden Wi-Fi network. Hidden networks do not broadcast their SSID (network name), so they require manual configuration. Android 10 does not enable hidden network support by default for new connections, but it can be activated through advanced settings.
🛠️ Resolution Steps
Open Wi-Fi Settings
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
Add a New Network
- Tap Add network at the bottom of the Wi-Fi list.
Enter Network Details
- Type the SSID (network name) exactly as configured on the router.
- Select the appropriate security type (e.g., WPA/WPA2).
Enable Hidden Network Option
- Tap Advanced options.
- Enable the Hidden network setting.
Save and Connect
- Enter the password if required.
- Tap Save or Connect.
Important Notes
- Ensure the SSID and security settings match exactly with the router configuration.
- Hidden networks may take longer to connect and may not show signal strength until connected.
