By default, the Skorpio X4 scanner running Windows Embedded Compact 7 (WEC7) offers preset power down timeout options (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 minutes or Never). To set a custom timeout duration, you must modify the device’s registry settings.

- Use a USB cable to connect the Skorpio X4 to your PC.
- Ensure the device syncs properly with the PC.
2. Use CeRegEditor
- Download and install CeRegEditor on your PC.
- Launch CeRegEditor and connect to the Skorpio X4.
3. Navigate to the Registry Path
- Go to:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\Timeouts
4. Modify Timeout Values
- The values in this registry key are in decimal seconds.
- Example:
- 5 minutes = 300 seconds
- 10 minutes = 600 seconds
- Change the value to your desired timeout duration.
5. Apply and Reboot
- Save the registry changes.
- Perform a cold boot on the Skorpio X4 to apply the new settings.
