This article explains the procedure to Export/Import a Custom Configuration File in Handheld Scanners
- Pc with Aladdin 2.3.7 and USB-COM DRIVER V6.3.2:

- Aladdin updated libraries: ‘Tools’ > ‘Check For Updated Configuration Library On Web’ > ‘Start Update’
🛠️ Resolution Steps
Export ccf file
- Enable the Aladdin SW to Developer mode
- click the right button of the mouse over the Aladdin icon on the desktop à Properties à add in the Location window a ‘space’ and ‘+d’, please refer to the below screenshot
- Launch the Aladdin SW
- If the interface is set equal to RS232 or USB-COM access directly otherwise if the interface set is equal to USB-KBD then use the option: Tools à Force Device Connection. In this last case please follow the next steps:
- Do not browse the com port and do not click connect device if one port (e.g COMx) is detected by the software.

- Be sure to have disconnected the USB cable from the computer and connect it again while pressing the button of the base or the trigger if a desk model is used. If you are using a cradle for the Quickscan model or RIDA DBT6400 or the Cobalto device then keep pressed the hidden button (present in the bottom of the cradle) using a clip while plugging the USB cable.

- When the dialogue window changes to “USB HID”, click on “Connect device” while keeping pressed the button.

- When the Wait loading bar appears release the button.
- Access the product configuration
- In Expert Mode à Custom Configuration File à click Read
- Once the text box will be populated, click on Save à choose the type file (.txt)
- This file can be used to load the configuration on another device (same product) connected to Aladdin by simply loading the previous file and then writing it.
Import ccf file
- Enable the Aladdin SW to Developer mode
- click the right button of the mouse over the Aladdin icon on the desktop à Properties à add in the Location window a ‘space’ and ‘+d’, please refer to the below screenshot
- Launch the Aladdin SW
- If the interface is set equal to RS232 or USB-COM access directly otherwise if the interface set is equal to USB-KBD then use the option: Tools à Force Device Connection. In this last case please follow the next steps:

- Access the product configuration
- In Expert Mode à Custom Configuration File à click Load
- Select the proper CCF file
- Once the text box will be populated, click on Write and wait for the process to finish.
- If an ULE is present, then it is necessary to go on the ULE tab, select the Enabled option and click Write Configuration
- Once completed, simply disconnect the device, by clicking the highlighted icon:
