🧾 Description
This is for Magellan 93/94/9550/96/98/9900i scanners.
What does the initial letter on the seven segment display mean during boot up? (not to be confused with the self test period that lights up all segments of the single digit display when first receiving power)
This is an indication of how the scanners configuration was last altered.
If the scanner is fresh from the factory with no alterations it should display an ‘F’
Possible displays are:
F = Factory
S = Service Port
A = SD card autorun - using a micro SD card to load a configuration file
H = Host command from POS
h = Host download that contained a configuration file
L = Label programming
These are not to be confused with error codes that may show up after this letter shows up and goes away.
