🧾 Description
This article outlines the steps to upgrade the firmware on Datalogic Android devices using the Datalogic DXU (Device Updater Utility). Firmware upgrades are essential for applying system improvements, bug fixes, and security patches.
Note: Before proceeding, ensure:
- DXU is installed on your PC.
- The firmware image (ZIP file) has been copied to your PC.
- A connection between the PC and the Datalogic device has been established via USB or WLAN.
🛠️ Resolution Steps
Launch DXU
- Open the DXU software on your PC.
Select the Connected Device
- Click on the DEVICE icon to view connected devices.
Open Firmware Utility
- Select Firmware Utility from the available options.
Browse for Firmware File
- Locate and select the firmware ZIP file stored on your PC.
Start the Update
- Click Start Update to begin the firmware upgrade process.
Wait for Completion
- Allow the update to finish. Do not disconnect the device during the process.
- Once complete, the device will reboot with the new firmware installed.
Important Notes
- Ensure the device remains powered and connected throughout the update.
- Do not interrupt the process, as this may cause firmware corruption.
